Established in 2023, El Puente Institute™ was founded as a testament to the power of collaboration and shared purpose. Launched by three visionary Latinas, Dr. Patricia, Dr. Alejandra, and Dr. Patty, who met through a mutual network of professionals committed to diversity and inclusion, shared the passion of empowering Latino leaders and bridging diverse communities through advocacy for equality, representation, and visibility.
Each founder brought their unique perspective, skill set, and “Sazón” to the cause of advancing the Hispanic/Latino community. Dr. Alejandra, a Mexican-born Latina brought an extensive background in academics, executive coaching, and DEI. Dr. Patricia, a seasoned professor and experienced leader, brought expertise in cultural competency and organizational change management. Dr. Patty, a Mexican-American Chicana and scholar-practitioner, brought her expertise in business psychology. These three Doctoras combined their knowledge and passions to create a platform that not only addresses leadership gaps but also fosters a deeper understanding of cultural identity among Latinos and their allies.
El Puente Institute™ was created to serve as a vital space for Latino/a/e/x and their allies to explore and celebrate personal and cultural identities. It extends its outreach to broader communities, fostering a culture of inclusivity. The founders' dedication to learning, research, cultural relevancy in leadership, and community advancement has been instrumental in fostering the institute's unique mission and purpose.
